Blackfriars Brewery, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Opened in 2004, awarded-winning Blackfriars brought brewing back to Great Yarmouth 36 years after the closure of the famous Lacons brewery.
In September 2008 the brewery moved to larger premises on Main Cross Road in Great Yarmouth. The new premises is located in a converted courtyard building, where Scottish girls famously packed the "silver darlings" (herring) over a hundred years ago. The brewery now boasts a shop and visitor centre, detailing the history of brewing in Great Yarmouth. Many of the beers the brewery produces can be sampled in the fully licensed Brewery Tap. Visitors can also tour the brewery by prior arrangement.(Minimum group size 15)
